BEVERLY — Harbor Management Authority holds commercial docking rates, approves dive training grant. Chair Paul Earl reported steady progress on kayak rentals and sailboat liquidation projections while Marina Manager Sean M. Ciancarelli updated the board on pedestal upgrades and ongoing hoist pier construction.
In two unanimous votes, the board approved keeping commercial marina rates at 80 dollars per foot while raising the administration fee to 250 dollars and awarded 2,500 dollars to Dive KS to train high school students for scuba certification through Marine Corps Junior ROTC. Harbormaster Peter Dickman confirmed the first Dockwa transient reservation occurred and boater education training is now mandatory for anyone born after 1989.
