Harbor Management Authority defers commercial rate vote to March.

Harbor Management Authority · Meeting of February 18, 2026

BEVERLY — Harbor Management Authority defers commercial marina rate vote. Chair Paul Earl proposed delaying the decision until the March 18 meeting to allow time for J. David Suminsby and Joseph Crowell to gather rate-comparison data from peer harbors including Gloucester and New Bedford; current Beverly commercial rates stand at 80 dollars per foot.

The authority also approved the January 28, 2026 minutes on a 6-0 vote with one abstention, and heard reports from Harbormaster Peter Dickman that an abandoned vessel at Glove Wharf now carries 3,500 dollars in fines with 10,000 dollars more to be assessed, intended for court collection. New harbormaster software LinksLog awaits the mayor's signature; both the HMA and the Harbormaster will each pay 3,370 dollars toward the cost.
