Beverly City Council schedules hearings on $27.9 million City Hall renovation project. Council Vice President Steven M. Crowley presided in the absence of President Julie R.
Flowers due to illness; Matthew J. St.Hilaire was elected Vice President in a unanimous 7-0 vote. The council unanimously approved scheduling public hearings for January 20 for Order #010, authorizing $25,895,000 in bonds for City Hall and former Police Station annex renovation, and Order #010A, requesting $2,000,000 from the Debt Stabilization Fund.
Both orders require two-thirds council vote under Massachusetts law.
