Design board approves five sign applications

Design Review Board · Meeting of July 9, 2026

BEVERLY — Design Review Board unanimously approves five commercial sign applications in routine review. Chair Jon Ouellette and Vice Chair Michael Barone Jr. presided as the board cleared signage for La Condesa, Away Games, CVS Pharmacy, Modern Elegance, and Children's Art Classes across Rantoul, Cabot, and Dodge streets, all by 6-0 votes. The board discussed revising a 1998 sign variance for the Cummings Center complex, currently displaying approximately 93 signs, with staff recommending the property owner seek Zoning Board approval to establish a global sign plan based on maximum potential signs rather than strict limits.
