Board of Assessors settles tax appeals, approves abatements.

BEVERLY — Board of Assessors approves $28,759 in fiscal 2026 tax abatements. Chairman Francis J. Golden, MAA and Assessor Richard J.

Scanlon, MAA voted unanimously to abate taxes on four properties, including $17,572.85 at 224 Elliott Street and $9,180.85 at 37 Enon Street. The board simultaneously denied abatement applications for seven other properties. The board also settled two fiscal 2025 Appellate Tax Board cases, abating $615.33 at 37 Enon Street and $7,662.66 at 224 Elliott Street, and approved new Statutory Exemption and Community Preservation Act exemption applications for fiscal 2026.
