Beverly Conservation Commission approves tree removal with wetland mitigation and eelgrass restoration order. Chair Christine Bertoni led the five-member Commission in unanimously approving removal of five trees at 208 Hart Street, including two dead trees, based on safety concerns raised by applicant Wayne Beauchemin. The Commission imposed conditions requiring five native wetland shrubs to be planted with 100 percent survivorship after one growing season.
The Commission also unanimously voted to issue an Order of Conditions for the Offshore Lynch Park eelgrass planting and monitoring project under the Wetlands Protection Act, requiring prior notification to the Conservation Agent and submission of restoration monitoring reports as available.
