Beverly High School students shared word of a varsity football win and strong freshman soccer records, as Endicott College readied a nationally streamed rugby match and its Hall of Fame induction.

BEVERLY --

HIGH SCHOOL -- At the Sept. 23 school committee meeting, a Beverly High School senior student representative told the committee the "Beverly varsity football won their own game" and that the school band "performed the first two segments of the halftime show" that day. An eighth grade representative relaying updates from the high school said freshman soccer is "three and three right now," that JV soccer has "even a lower record," and that girls freshman and JV soccer "have been doing very well." Separately, a Beverly Middle School eighth grader told the committee the cross country team had a meet the next day, saying "so many new kids" had turned out to run under coaches Mr. Slice and Mr. Devlin.

COMMUNITY -- Endicott College was scheduled to host Smith College at 7 p.m. Sept. 25 in a nationally streamed NCR Friday Night Rugby match, per Patch. The college was also set to induct four former student-athletes into its 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame class on Sept. 26 during its Homecoming and Reunion Weekend.
