Economic & Community Development Council · Meeting of February 26, 2026

Beverly's Economic and Community Development Council approves prior meeting minutes unanimously. The eight-member council voted 9-0 to approve January 22 minutes and heard a presentation from Andrew Defranza, Executive Director of Harborlight Homes, detailing affordable housing development across 11 communities north of Boston. Defranza explained that projects typically require 5 to 6 years from site control to occupancy and involve 10 to 12 different funding sources.

Council members suggested inviting the Housing Authority to the next meeting to discuss senior housing funding sources and explore incentive strategies, noting that all current senior housing in Beverly is owned by the Housing Authority.
